She has been a dedicated oncoplastic breast surgeon since 9 years and trained at the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai, a premier tertiary referral center in India. Dr. Arati was also instrumental in establishing the Specialist Breast Unit , in a tertiary referral center at the Al Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi. |

Dr. Arati has operated over 1518 malignant cases, 1056 benign cases and 208 reconstructive/cosmetic surgical cases. She was the Trial Co-coordinator for Primary Progestrone therapy trials for early breast cancer and has assisted in 5 International trials. She is a Fellow of the European Breast Cancer Network (EBCN). To teach precise techniques for Breast Self Examination, she is a Certified MammaCare® Specialist She has also presented an original paper at the 1st. UAE Surgical Conference on “Race and Ethnicity of breast cancer in UAE” Dr. Arati is the founder and Managing Trustee of the Trust in Pink Foundation, an NGO that provides education and charitable medical treatment to women and teenagers in the area of Breast Health and Cancer. |
